The only constant is change.
With each passing moment, nothing remains the same. Your body is aging, cells are dying or being replaced, and bodily processes are happening even when you might not be aware of them.
I was reflecting on this as I went on a walk today.
Some of us are so resistant to change. You think you know something, and when something proves you wrong, you sometimes still hold firmly to that belief.
My guess is that knowledge, personal development, relationships: virtually everything is malleable.
Everything you know is under constant revision, even the habits you find difficult to break. And when you're struggling to adopt new ones, you have to give yourself some grace. Don’t give up just because you slipped up once or twice. It’s never too late to make a change.
For a while, I felt stagnant. I was happy-ish day in and day out, but I still felt dissatisfied. Then, when I was presented with conflict, I fell apart. But I built myself back together within a few days from being kinder to my mind.
I’m trying my best not to chase highs because even the things that bring me joy change day in and day out. And those highs don’t last: nothing does, in fact.
What’s really shifted my perspective is thinking that one day, I will eventually lose my loved ones. You…
