Reflections on a staycation
A recap of the past three days
I was lucky to have Friday through Monday (tomorrow) off, but I’m so happy with how the days sped by. The reasons I’m writing this post are because 1) this is something AI can’t do and 2) I’m reading The Artist’s Way, and I wrote about how I wanted to be a travel blogger as one of my imaginary life paths. (Hence the blogging!)
Friday
I made my old-fashioned egg sandwiches (that used to be one of the only things I knew how to make!) for lunch. Hung out with Tiffy before their big trip to Virginia for a tournament. Shopped at Crabtree and TJ Maxx with my mom, who’s such a fashionista. Her recommendations were spot-on, and I luckily didn’t shell out too much money for clothes. Also went to Target and got caught in a downpour that left me completely soaked, but my purchases thankfully stayed relatively dry. I built a cube shelf by myself, even though the instructions asked for two people. When I saw them, I thought to myself, Challenge accepted.
Michael and I watched Breaking Bad after, and then we cuddled and slept. Altogether a fairly productive day, especially considering I’ve needed a storage unit for a very long time.
