I think it depends on the child and their interests. It’s important not to place expectations on them when they’re developing their music skills. If music isn’t for them at that stage of life, it shouldn’t be forced. If parents like their kids learning, they also need to put up with the noise and expense. But as someone who was self-driven to learn music, I think it’s added a significant amount of value to my life.
