I don’t get any monetary benefit from this, but it makes me feel like I’m contributing something.

My contributions consist of videos, photos, and reviews of all the different places I’ve been. It’s my way of documenting how things went, what I appreciated, etc.

My reviews are never particularly long, unless I have good reason to not go back somewhere due to shitty service. I’m not very detailed in describing flavors of food, the entire experience from walking in the door to leaving a tip, or any kind of narrative like that.

I mostly just post if I liked it or not. Pretty simple and pretty short.

It’s been a while since I’ve painted pictures with words and described things in detail. My work is oftentimes like my vision without glasses: blurry and impressionistic.

Hopefully people can find meaning in all the unfocused ramblings of my mind.

And learning to write succinctly and provide more information about a restaurant? That’s how I practice even when I don’t feel inspired.

How do you keep at your own creative side? Would love to hear about people’s practice!
