I thought to myself today: how much of my life is structured around someone else’s happiness?

The answer is at least 90%.

I rarely do things I enjoy for myself. Most of the time, I’m trying to make my dad, partner, sibling, mom, friend, coworker, manager/supervisor happy.

The biggest mindset shift is trying to find out what makes me happy.

This may be an antiquated notion, but it’s an unspoken expectation in most cultures.

I’m just a little exhausted nowadays because it feels like no matter what I do, it isn’t enough. There isn’t enough time or energy to do all the things I want to do. And this is with a part-time job and part-time school.

I feel like a lot of education hampers your free will, too. The professors oftentimes have expectations, rubrics…
