Complain less, do more.
I’m trying to live by a new motto:
Complain less, do more.
This also comes with practicing gratitude more often.
I realized a lot of my mental energy was spent on “shoulds” and guilt-ridden scrolling through social media.
So I decided I’d try to put myself into motion, be it intellectually, physically, etc. to change things up a bit.
I haven’t been as diligent about publishing every day because I’m busy living life, completing assignments, working, etc.
But I know writing is one of the few things I do for myself.
I don’t want to give this up.
It sucks when your creative self is oftentimes neglected because other priorities are deemed more important.
I think you can have the best of both worlds, though.
Do the things that are tedious and/or productive, and then reward yourself at the end of the day with what you love most before you drift off to bed.
This isn’t too bad. I’ll let y’all know what I learn from living like this.
