3 pieces of advice that’ve changed how I live
Reflecting on what my friends & mentors have told me
Lately, a few pieces of advice have helped me achieve more than I could before.
Think less, do more.
Most of the time, my fears and anxieties prevent me from taking action. As a result, I stay paralyzed and stuck. So instead of living life with dread, I’ve learned to push through and have more grace with myself when I fall short of my own expectations. I submit the application despite having reservations. I do the chore before my mind can persuade me out of it. & I go with the momentum built from physical movement and batch my chores. And another thing that’s helped me is remembering that sometimes half-assing a lot of things can be okay instead of trying your best at everything, which is a recipe for burnout.
Focus on what is, not what if.
This has helped me prevent myself from spiraling. Practicing gratitude has certainly helped as well! I’ve noticed that sometimes what you want most from life is what you already have. So cherish it!
Luck is when opportunity meets preparation.
I feel like I’ve almost won the lottery when it comes to luck lately. Timing can be everything! Things are looking up for me now; we’ll see how things go once I assume different responsibilities. What I’ll do now is prepare for future opportunities to present themselves. ^_^
Hope these tips and advice can bring some insight for you as well!
